Students taking courses in an IWU National & Global program are encouraged to apply for a variety of student financial aid options. There are many types of aid available, including grants, scholarships, loans, and veteran benefits. These funding sources can make completing a degree or certificate program affordable and attainable.
You will find it is easy to apply for aid. The process is straightforward and will start you on the way toward financing your education. Additional forms you may need to submit are available electronically. The resources and policies will help you better understand the student financial aid process, address important topics, and give you tools to map out a financial plan.
To facilitate the convenience and flexibility of IWU National & Global programs, student financial aid is delivered in two different ways for students enrolled prior to July 2019. Many of our programs that started prior to July 2019 are still delivered in a "nonterm" format, which is somewhat different than that of a traditional semester-based (or "term-based") structure. While this nonterm delivery format has been used for many years to administer the financial aid for students in our programs, in recent years we have gradually transitioned several graduate degree programs to the term-based format. This term-based structure has shown itself to be more helpful to our students; so, in July 2019, we transitioned all of our programs for newly enrolling students into one of three term-based structures. While not identical to a traditional semester-based structure, the three term-based structures have a number of similarities. We are happy to explain this to you in more detail.
